My Journey with MS

I’m staying positive, exercising regularly, eating right and my area of needed self discipline is sleep! I am amazed how poorly I do when I don’t get enough sleep! I’ve always felt that sleep is a waste of time! Now I realize it is necessary! I only need 7 hours of sleep a night and I have a hard time making myself go to bed! The days I do, I can stand and walk without pushing down on my walker you know, letting my legs do the walking and just use the walker for balance! See you next month!

Hot dog! I can see how you’re doing. I know that’s now why you are working so hard at this, but it surely helps me.

      Josh,
Thank you for your vote of confidence! I’m doing my updates on msrelief.com these days. I’m not walking as well as I wish I were but it’s not because of lack of effort on my part!

      Terry,
Shoot! I wish I could say I intrinsically have the self-discipline to have it together! Unfortunately it’s all about desperation! I had always been healthy, eating all that I wanted and exercising when I felt like it, until one day…. You can see my story on the ‘about’ page. When my world crashed with aggressive MS, I could have laid down and died. Well the MS wouldn’t have killed me, but you know what I mean. I was only 37 years old when the MS started getting bad! That was enough to motivate me to get kickin’! I feel for your friend. I was blessed with skinny genes, weight gain was never my problem. Addiction to food was! It all has to come from inside. The negative results of overeating have to out weigh the positive results of eating correctly. My Ebook that she can get for free just by leaving her name and email address, Emotional Clearing, right here on the right side of my blog, will give her the beginning of what we all need! Like I said, it’s all about what’s inside!

    Hi Linda

I really do admire your positive attitude and to trying to eat healthy. I do love your important point:

“The negative results of overeating have to out weigh the positive results of eating correctly.”

Sleep is so important to the body’s overall health as during our sleep it allows our system to repair and cope with the daily stresses that life does throw at us.

I agree. I remember when I use to work the graveyard shift and sleep is one of my major problem. Imagine sleeping for only 4-5hrs a day for four years. I’m lucky that I’m finally back to work during the day and now enjoys 6.5-7 hrs sleep a day.
