I’m having a blast online! I am still learning so much!! I have found many new friends! I am so blessed!
As far as my health goes, everyday I run the gamut, I feel weak, strong, clear-headed, foggy, spacey, coordinated, walking (without a cane, very slowly), walking needing a walker. Honestly, my ‘up-date movie’ shows it like it is much of the time.
Usually in the evening I walk the best. Everyday I walk at least 2 times (not every hour like I said I would) around the house. I sometimes get a good night sleep and try to drink at least 1½ courts of water.
I eat a very good diet, mostly vegetables, nuts and cheese.
To be honest, I haven’t been doing my physical therapy like I promised my self. For exercise, all I do is ride my stationary bike 20 minutes 6 days a week and do 30 modified push ups.
I’m still watching myself use MS as an excuse. I work with the youth at church and I’m not able to help out at camp next week (a walker just won’t get me around. I was talking to one of the young woman tonight, admiring her art work as we waited for the other girls to complete their “pack checks”. Holly isn’t planning on going to camp, even though her dad wants her to. I asked her why she wasn’t going and she said she isn’t into camping. She doesn’t like the uncomfortable sleeping arrangements, no plumbing, and mostly that she can’t work, can’t draw. Her dad joined in with, “You can draw while you’re camping.” “No dad,” she said. “drawing and camping, don’t get along. I learned that last year.” I told her I can relate. For me, it’s being online.
I thought I already got it. But I know a situation will keep presenting itself until the lesson is learned. I don’t have to stay sick. I can choose to “just say no.”
To Do List:
Walk every two hours using a cane
1 hour physical therapy 5 days/week
Sleep 7 hours each night (that’s what I need)
I can do it~ I know I can! Next month it will be fun to see my progress!

Linda,
Am in awe of your honesty and so proud of you. You are putting it out there and making yourself accountable by doing so. I’ll use you as an example to stay more motivated and focused myself!

Hi Linda,
Happy to see your commitment to being kind and honest with yourself while being committed to your goal. I look forward to the video where you do jump again on the trampoline, i know you can get there.
Something we probably all can do better at when we practice is for us to practice for the sake of the practice without any thought about what we are trying to achieve and the outcome we want.
Very often a strong attachment to our intended outcomes, itself is counter-productive. And letting go of the attachment to the result though challenging seems so important in taking action.
I really admire and appreciate your courage in sharing your healing journey,
Johneal

Linda I really wish you well with MS. I’m glad you wrote about something very personal to you, I can tell it really affects your everyday life. I pray that you have loved ones around you at all times.
I believe in your ability though because as much as I see that you have done, most people without the same complications don’t get half as much done.
All of us let something bad create an excuse for us.
Thanks for much sharing with everyone!

Thank you very much for saying so Chris! You have heard me say it – we all experience adversity, it looks different for us all but it’s all for the same purpose, to get us back to God.

Hi Linda,
You are bold to let “strangers” peer into your life displaying such honesty. I am “legally blind” which just means my eyesight is so bad I can’t drive a car and do certain things that other people can do with their vision. Like you said we all face some kind of adversity and there are lessons to be learned for us. You have inspired me, but I send you loving hugs of support. You are a fighter and being so will reveal your journey. Pleasure to meet you! I look forward to following your road.. great poem by Robert Frost too

Thank you Lesly! Nice to meet you too! You say that it’s bold to share with the world my journey, actually it’s selfish~ afterall ‘it’s all about me’
I get wonderful support from people like you, “strangers” and it pickes me up! When I have a day that doesn’t feel like my MS is in remission (like today) you give me the encouragement to keep on keeping on! You tell me that I’m an inspiration when in reality you inspire me! Yep, it’s all about me~

Linda, I have visited your site more than once, and see that you continue to move ahead in your commitment to get better.
From time to time, I have a couple health challenges and I have used a writing journal to keep track of my therapies, what I eat and what is working and what is not.
Here you are, being brave and posting it on the net! Keep up the good work.
