Fear is something that everyone will face, and it really is a problem. Every moment you have a choice, to spend today afraid that tomorrow will be bad, which will make you anxious, distracted and selfish because you can’t focus on others when you are in fear.
Or you can spend today in trust that tomorrow will be great, which will make you calm, optimistic and loving today.

Where do all these fears come from?
When you were a small child, you were taught to conform or suppress who you really are. You heard a lot of ‘no’s’, ‘you should be ashamed of yourself’, ‘be quiet’, ‘don’t be a know it all’, and the list goes on. The message you were taught was no matter how hard you try, you’ll never be good enough. Over the years you learned one of the core fears, fear of failure.
The other core fear, the fear of loss also started when you were a small child. As you watched the adults in your life, you felt their fears. The fear of loosing money, losing success, you saw them conforming to get along, people pleasing. You saw crying, shouting and playing games to get what they want.
You learned many ways that your life may not be good enough, a fear of looking bad, being embarrassed, being found out you’ll never be good enough. You learned that the world is not a safe place. You learned to fear all the bad things that can happen and that you should worry about all the possibilities.
No matter how good your parents were, or how you acted as a child, you grew up with this underlying subconscious program that we are unsafe in this journey, that life is a dangerous place and we have to protect ourselves.
It’s important to understand that everyone on the planet has these same fears. All of us have fears surrounding that of not being good enough, and our lives may not be good enough.
