Being new to the whole online networking scene, I had so much to learn! My husband created the header image for my wordpress blog and Fred Grover, techsmith for Camtasia Studio, edited the image a little so it was exactly what I wanted.
Until today I didn’t even know what “it” was called! Kimberly Castleberry enlightened me! What I always called a “Logo” is really called a Header Image!
Even without knowing that the Header Image is so important, I planned to use it on printed work or power point presentations. I hadn’t asked Fred for a copy of it. When I asked him, he taught me how to get it right off the internet! It really is easy!
Simply right click on the image and click print on the drop down menu. Move over to the destination page, right click, then click on print. There it is! It’s really easy!
I now recognize that the header is the first chance to make a good impression and I’m grateful that my image turns my site into a stunning one. I’ll be able to use this image for my letterhead, note pads, business cards and stationery.
Now that I’m doing lots of syndication, I’ll be able to grab my tribe’s header images from their wordpress sites and post them on mine!
So what are you going to do with your wordpress header image? I’d love to hear!

Hi Linda,
Thanks for mentioning me here. I am glad I could help you learn something and you can now pass that along. I would like to let others know that I am in no way employed, affiliated, with TechSmith at all. I am listed on their website as a Camtasia Studio 3rd Party Service Provider however. If you have a blog or product, software, etc. we can help in showing you how create and put the video on your site. Thanks again Linda for the mention and keep up the great work. This site is looking great.

Like you I’ve always thought of the header image as the logo. I’ve just started using the Fresh News theme, and there is an option for both, which I found a bit confusing at first.
I agree that a good header is very important, in fact I’m still working on the new one for my new theme. A good header image is part of your brand, so it’s worth going to a lot of trouble to get it just right.
I’m not at the stage where I need stationary printed, but thanks to you I’m going to make sure my header design will look good in print as well.
