When my kids brought home the common “shut-ups” it was harmless at first. When it turned into an angry demand directed at a sibling I put into practice what my friend, Tracy suggested. SHUT UP BUCKS. Whoever said shut up had to pay the receiver $1. It only took once.

We had something similar in my family but with swear words :-p 3 boys in the house along with my dad and mom ended up getting a little out of hand at times… After losing my allowance for the week a few times, I ended up shutting up

Great idea.
Well I don’t have this problem with mines (16 year old girl, and 10 year old boy). I kill the seed before it grows..at least at home.
